When I was a little girl I remember when my mom would come into the family room where I was playing with my toys and say "alright dayna, time for your bath"
I would immediately jump up and run to the bath tub. I loved bath time! I remember splashing and singing and playing with the bubbles (I always had to have bubbles in my tub!) and not wanting to get out.I dreaded getting out.
I HATED getting out.
But truthfully, not totally because I loved the bath tub that much, it was just because I knew what was next.
I hated what was next!
My mom would wash me off in a towel, get me dressed, and thenshe would try to comb my hair!
I hated it!
She would try to distract me by saying "when it hurts, just say 'hippopotamus' and I will stop" well, at that age
WHO CAN SAY HIPPOPOTAMUS!
So I would try and try and couldn't say it and I would just cry and throw a big tantrum.Well, finally as I grew up my mom just learned to not comb my hair at all and so I would walk around with nappy snarls but I wouldn't care.
I had won.
So tonight I was giving Gabe his bath. I toweled him off and got him dressed just like my mom used to do to me and then I realized his hair was getting longer. It is getting so long in fact that I might need to brush it!
So I went to grab the brush...but then I stopped
because I saw this
I just couldn't bring myself to brush through it!
I LOVE THE CURLS!
So, Gabe, I know it wouldn't be as bad for you as it was for me, but
YOU WERE SAVED BY THE CURLS!

Your little one is so cute! I absolutely love the curls and am happy you decided not to brush through them! Hey, I know we live far away from each other and don't have the opportunity to see or talk one another that much, but I'm so happy you have a blog because it's so fun to see what you are up to these days. I love viewing your blog often and getting the latest update on your cute family! I hope life is treating you and your family great! Hope your having a great week! Happy Wednesday!
love the curls!!! darling!
Cute little curls!
Your post took me back to my own kid bathtimes...I hated the combing, too. And so does my daughter. So in honor of your post I finally bought her conditioner. And you know what? No tangles. Go figure...
