My sister and her family came into town last weekend as they were driving to Arizona, and what a fun time we had! (pictures to follow soon). But one morning while we were there my 5 year old niece came up to me with a very serious face to ask me a question.
"Aunt Dayna"
"Yes Kamrie"
she hesitated...
"um...well, I was just wondering. If Gabriel is a boy...then why does his hair look like girl's hair?"
HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THAT?!?!?!?
I have my reasons why I don't want to cut his hair. His curls for one. I am just nervous that they won't grow back once I cut them!
But, I have to admit, I will miss how his hair looks when I get him out of his crib in the morning! Wouldn't you miss this?!?!

Definitely cut! He's a cute kid, but summer is coming.
It's totally up to you. I completely understand why you would not want to cut his hair. Everyone is always telling me to cut Kyra's, but I for some reason can't right now. Good luck making this hard decision.
You will find that he grows up about a year as soon as you cut his hair. He won't look like your little baby anymore. You'll look at him and ask, "when did you grow up". But - change is good. And those cute curls will most likely be back in a month or two. Go for it, Dayna!
Yes! As cute as it is, I think it is time.
Aww he has such cute flowing long hair! I love it! Just found all our neighborhood blogs and am LOVING it! Can't wait to see all the fun stuff your little fam is up too!
i think you'll know when to cut it. doesn't sound like you're ready yet ;)
You don't want to give the kid a complex. Corey had curls when he was little too and he thought he looked like a girl and didn't like it. You probably will be able to get away with it for a while, but once he's older, he may want his hair shorter.
Don't do it! I love his hair!!!
Ryan had the cutest, curliest hair known to man--it even had a little copper in it like mine (the ONLY feature to be represented from my side of the family). I waited until he could barely see when he walked--decided that the gift of sight was better than letting my toddler run into walls. The curls never came back--the copper faded to blond but now old ladies in the grocery store don't mistake him for a girl, even when he was wearing red & blue from head to toe. Cut the hair, he'll thank you when he's older :)
Well let it be known that as Dad here I will miss his golden locks...and I don't care if anyone thinks he looks like a girl. Spend 5 seconds around the kid and you'll know soon enough what a boy he is.
