Bucket List

Many people have a bucket list...

EVERYBODY should have a bucket list 

and today, something on my bucket list came true

I was sitting on the couch, feeding Gabe, and my mom had FM100.3 playing in the background.  "so how is that a bucket list item" you might think.  Well, that was the event that lead to the bucket list.  

I sat there, then realized that I could call in to win something.

So I thought..."why not try"

AND I WON!

 I was the 10th caller on F100.3 and I won 2 tickets to the Billy Joel/Elton John concert in November!  WAHOO!

I really can't wait.  I did always say that I was born in the wrong generation because I love them so much.

Well, Gabe has been going around the house lately carrying this zebra.

HE LOVES IT!  

It makes me think about the song and how he is going to

 start taking it everywhere with him.

FAMILY

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 YEARS MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS TOGETHER!!!

My sister, brother in law, and then their 2 kids came into town this weekend and so we had to celebrate!  So our artistic karlee bugs made this sign to welcome them.

We thought we would start off the weekend right by having all the girls get their hair done!!  Here is Christy modeling her foils.

As the girls were getting their hair done, the guys came down and played mario kart...

 of course!

Friday morning we split up again and the girls went to Color Me Mine and the boys went to trafalga to go miniature golfing and they also played on the go-karts!  (but since they are guys, they didn't take any pictures)

After that we came back and made sugar cookies!  We gave them some dinosaur and princess cookie cutters and we had fun cutting them and also frosting the cookies.

Well, Tyler decided that he didn't want to frost his cookies, he just wanted to eat it!  Good thing we took off his shirt!

Then to top the weekend off, nate cooked a fun, authentic Italian dinner for everyone sunday before they left.  What a fun weekend.

now, many of you are probably thinking, "a hole, what kind of a hole?"  

Well, here it is, what nate and I have been waiting for

A HOLE TO OUR HOUSE!

It will be done in May and we couldn't be more excited!

It is in Lehi right next to Thanksgiving Point and we can't wait.

A day to celebrate!!!

MANGIA'S CELEBRATION DINNER

We made it!  

After 2 1/2 years of waiting Mangia Technologies finally received funding!  (mangia is pronounced mon-ja and it means "eat" in italian)

We have been so proud of our husbands for their dedication and perseverance. 

 They knew

 that the idea was worth going after, and they were 

right! 

 And on top of that, being able to raise funding during this economic crisis is OUTSTANDING!

Nate, I am so proud of you and your determination!  Without you, this wouldn't have happened!

SISTER IN LAWS

My sister-in-laws are the greatest.  They really are. 

 I don't know why I started thinking about all of them today, but I did.

I started off thinking about katie and how I haven't talked to her in a while. Then I went onto her blog and read some of her posts and it amazed me how great of a writer she is!  I can't write AT ALL so she puts me to shame.  Then I just think about the person she is and how great of an "auntie" she is to my gabe and how great of a sister she is to Nate and it brings me to tears.  Katie, if you read this thank you for all you do for us and for always taking care of us!

Then after thinking about Katie for a while my mind always goes to Elizabeth.  

Here, again, is a sister in law who is so much greater than me in EVERYTHING.  She doesn't realize how gorgeous she is and how every time I read from her blog it makes me smile.  She also has a way of writing that puts me to shame, but she is so clever as well!  Lily, if you read this as well, you truly are the best.  I always get excited when I know I am going to see you because you are so much fun.  Thank you.

Then, as if on cue, I went to Mary's blog.  I have never met anyone like Mary!  She is always the life of the party and such a fun girl!  Whenever I am around her or just talk to her on the phone, she always seems willing to do anything for anyone and she really tries to help out with everything.  Thank you Mary or that example.

Then, last but definitely not least, my brother's wife Christy.  She has fit into my family since the day she walked through that door.  She is ALWAYS the first one to jump up after a meal and do all of the dishes.  She also is ALWAYS the first (and only one) to volunteer to change Gabe's diaper or to take him for a second when I need to go and do something.  She is such a sweetheart and I am so grateful that my brother married above himself and found her!  :)

To those of you who are reading this and aren't one of my sister-in-laws, you might be wondering why I decided to post about them.  Well, I am not sure why, but I have been feeling truly blessed to have all of them in my life recently so I felt inspired to write about them.  

Then to all of you, thank you for being great friends to me!

THE CUTEST KID EVER!

Gabe was in the best mood ever the other day and I just happened to snap some fun pictures of him as he was FULL ON LAUGHING!

After I took these pictures, I realized that I should have been filming him instead of pictures, but that is ok!  Hopefully he will be that funny again so I can film him and post that!

Also, look how big he looks!  He is only 2 months old and he is HUGE!

Here I am with Gabe's "Auntie's".  Unfortunately, we couldn't have them all there for this, because he has 3 other Aunts that love him and wish they could be there as well!  Sorry Lindsay, Katie and Mary!

Here I am with all the "mom's".  My mom on the left, my grandma gunnell next to her, then me, my grandma stratford and then nate's mom.  Unfortunately nate no longer has any other grandmothers, but I know they were at the blessing in spirit!
