WEEKEND WITH JOSTO

Nate met Josto in Italy on his mission

We were able to visit him a few years ago, 

and so now it was great for him to return the favor and visit us!

This is us at the Checketts cabin trying to start a fire!

Don't ask me what they were trying to do, but it looks great!

So, I was just preparing some bananas for gabe and I guess he didn't want to wait for me!

4-wheeling!  WAHOO!

Gabe was able to go on his first SLOW ride, HE LOVED IT!

Then we took Josto around Temple Square and we had a tour

It is crazy that 4 1/2 years ago nate and I got married here...

SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!

After this we were able to top it off with a REAL SALT LAKE game!  

We won 3-0!  GO TEAM!

BLONDE OR BRUNETTE?

NO, I am not going to dye my hair

I prefer myself as a BLONDE

But maybe this lady should think about dying HER hair!

We were just about to go down to this underground parking when

"WHACK!!!"

Yep, I hope she didn't want her storage unit!

Nate and Josto are helping her  take it off

I LOVE BEING A MOMMY!

Living by thanksgiving point is so much fun

there is so much to do!

Gabe actually cried when we took him off of the pony!  

He LOVED it!

He was so cute! 

We had to feed him to say thank you for the ride!

Gabe was almost the same size!

Here is the best part,

Another check on the bucket list!

Ever since I was a little girl, I don't know what is wrong with me 

but I have always wanted to milk a cow!

Gabe was just getting to know Betsy before we milked her

HERE I GO!  YAY FOR THE BUCKET LIST!

It wasn't as hard as I thought, but it was fun!

We have Nate's friend Josto from Italy visiting us as well

SO MUCH FUN!  I suggest all of you try it!

Need I say more?

Words really cannot express how proud of Nate  and the rest of the family I am!

That was the longest 30+ hours of their lives, and I can't believe they did it!

Here I am with my mom and sister in law (and dad taking the picture) ready 

to cheer Nate on.

Grandma LOVES her Gabriel and they were both anxious for nate to start his last, 

AND HARDEST

Carras just started the legendary "RAGNAR" hill

and it was up to Nate to run the rest of the way

OK, First look at that incline and then look to where the top of the mountain is...

The sad thing at this point is, nate had already run a mile and a half 

UP THAT MOUNTAIN

and he still had until the peak to go!

I hopped into their car for this KILLER leg to give nate support

Carras is in the back cheering him on 

while we are in the car doing the same thing

I wanted to give nate support so I ran the last little bit with him so he 

can have the motivation to finish

Look at that determination!

There was no way that he was going to give up!  

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU NATE!

He is done

WHEW!  What a day!

But now he can and will forever say

"I CONQUERED THE RAGNAR!"

Then here is his sister Katie starting her last leg.

I don't have pictures of the whole team, but I am sure proud of

 ALL OF THEM

for running this race!

WE FINALLY HAVE INTERNET!

FATHER'S DAY

This was Gabe's gift to his daddy......

A frame with his hand prints and footprints on it!  He loves his daddy!

GABE'S NEW TOY

Gabe is walking (with us holding his hands) EVERYWHERE!  

So, we decided to buy him a walker.

He has already mastered the buttons and the toys on the side, 

he loves them!

I CAN'T WAIT

So, as you can tell, this outfit is too big for him....

but I can't wait until he can fit in it!  I think it is so

punk-ish!  So, just for picture purposes, we spiked his hair!

We have done so many other things, nate just ran an amazing race, we have mostly finished decorating our house, and much much more

those posts are coming soon!

ITS OFFICIAL!

WE DID IT!

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!

After a lot of thought, we decided to stay in Utah for a few more years. 

And since the economy is so bad, we were able to build this house

for such a good deal!

I have to admit, the kitchen is my favorite part!

THANK YOU NATE for letting me get a

double oven!!!!

Your meals will be AMAZING now!

Here is the master bedroom

Then the master bath.  We had to push to put 2 sinks in here,

but it is SO WORTH IT!

Then our laundry room is amazing!  SO BIG!

I am so excited about these lockers!  You can't really tell, but they have

bead board in the back of them!  SO CUTE!

We already started to move things in, but we won't OFFICIALLY move in

until friday!  I CAN'T WAIT!

OH, THE JOYS

So, I was blowing on Gabe's tummy because he 

LOVES IT

and next thing I know is....

The worst part of it all was

I was calling for nate to help me get away from his

VERY FIRM grip

and all I heard was this laughing and then

Oh, the Joys of motherhood!

HEAVEN ON EARTH...

Last week as I was in Connecticut for my

 mother in Law's graduation

I had this.....

It is a cup of Italian Hot Chocolate

and let me tell you, 

I have never tasted anything SO AMAZING IN ALL MY LIFE!

Seriously, it was heaven on earth!
